Frequently asked questions
Is Seatline a book-lending system?+
No. Seatline is built for paid study seats: students reserve a seat for a time slot (morning, evening or 24 hours), pay a membership fee, and check in daily. Books stay with the students — lockers are available for their belongings.
Do students need to install an app to check in?+
No. You print a fixed QR poster for your branch. Students scan it with any phone camera, activate once with a secure link from your staff, and then check in, pick a flexible seat and check out from their browser.
Does Seatline send WhatsApp messages automatically?+
No automatic sending and no API setup. Seatline prepares a ready-to-send WhatsApp draft for expiring memberships or overdue fees — you review it and press Send in WhatsApp yourself.
Can I record partial payments?+
Yes. Record Cash, UPI or bank transfers, accept token deposits, and collect the remaining balance later. Every payment gets an itemized receipt you can print or save as PDF.
I run more than one branch. Is my data mixed together?+
Never. Each branch is fully isolated — staff see only their assigned branch, while you as the owner see every branch from one account.
